For heaven sakes let's go to the Lakes

On the last bank holiday weekend (which was the last weekend in August) Paul and I went with MD, SG and MS to the Lakes District. We stayed in a houseboat on the lake for three nights and went trekking.

It's a six hour drive to get there and is close to the border of Scotland and the scenery up there is absolutely beautiful! The village that we stayed in reminded us of the Dandenongs. We walked, ate, drank, played Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit, read magazines, browsed the shops in the village (I've never been to a place with so many outdoor camping/adventures shops in one place), took photos, ate homemade icecream etc etc. You know, the normal things you do on a weekend by the Lake.

I've uploaded a few shots on my Flickr site. Happy viewing!
