I'm sat there ...

It has been a long time between drinks, hasn't it? Work has been busy. Enough said.

The title of this blog does not read quite right, does it? Yet I hear this every day - 'I'm sat there, minding my own business ...' , 'So there I am ... sat there ...'. I am yet to hear a Pom on their home soil using the verb 'sitting'. I hear 'sat' on the radio. I see 'sat' in the newspaper. Maybe it is the Australians that have it wrong.

Is it just me?

Proof

Here's a pic of my abseil. It was a bit of an anti-climax actually as it seemed to go so quickly and wasn't scary at all. I did manage to raise over £300 for Red Cross though. I raised over £170 and the Co. I work for matched it. Posted by Picasa

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!

I, (being the risk taking adventurer that I am) am abseiling off a 150ft building in Central London in the name of charity on June 24!

I've abseiled before, about 12 years ago when I was a spritely young lass but the highest height I abseiled from was a measely 50ft and that felt HIGH! That was in the Blue Mountains in NSW and was loads of fun. This time it's for the Red Cross and right in the heart of busy Central London. I need to raise at least £100 before I can 'seil.

So off on my sponsorship trail I go ... Wish me luck. Photos to follow!

Music heaven!

You know when dogs live with their owners for too long they start to look like each other? Well Paul's gadgetry fetish is rubbing off on me. Meet my tivoli iPal. I bought it last week and it's heaven! I finally get to hear my iPod tunes out loud instead of through the earphones and also have the radio on in the morning whilst I'm getting ready for work. I love it. And the sound ... for such a small gadget is amazing.

Anyway - enough gloating. It's a gorgeous day today so Paul and I are going to get out and about. No doubt some photos will follow. Posted by Picasa
